Ingredients:
For the Cake:
• 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ¾ cup buttermilk
• ½ cup sweet cherry puree (pitted and blended)

For the Cherry Frosting:
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 4 ½ cups powdered sugar, sifted
• 3 tablespoons sweet cherry puree
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional for consistency)
For the Filling and Decoration:
• 1 cup sweet cherries, pitted and halved
• ½ cup cherry jam
• Dark chocolate shavings (optional)
