Ingredients:
– BBQ sauce
– Hot dogs
– Bacon slices
– Shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
– Toothpicks
– Black pepper (optional)
– Cooking oil (if needed)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Take each hot dog and wrap it with a slice of bacon, making sure to cover the whole hot dog. Secure the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
3. Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with foil for easy cleanup.
4. Drizzle a little BBQ sauce over each wrapped hot dog. If you like some spice, sprinkle black pepper for an extra kick.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
6. About 5 minutes before they are done, pull them out and sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese over the top of each hot dog.
7. Return to the oven until the cheese melts and starts to bubble.
8. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Carefully take out the toothpicks and serve with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
